A Little About Me!
Hi! I'm Denita Kionka. This is my sixth year to teach 5th grade at Wood Elementary! My husband and I have two wonderful children, Jeff, a Junior at Martin High School, and Hayley, an 8th grader at Boles Jr. High School. "Abbey", a Soft-coated Wheaton Terrier, is our family pet. Jeff enjoys motorcross while Hayley plays volleyball. Favorite family activities include traveling, snow skiing, ice hockey, dirt biking, and watching Jeff and Hayley at their sporting events. In June we had a wonderful family vacation to Oahu and Maui, Hawaii. Snorkling, surfing, sunning, and sight-seeing made it memorable and fun!
In addition, I also enjoy gardening, cooking and shopping!
I am excited about all the learning opportunities in my classsroom this year in math and social studies. It's going to be a great year! I look forward to getting to know students and parents alike!
