8th Grade Science
Welcome to 8th grade science! I am looking forward to a great year with your student. We will start out with safety procedures and rules and then go into experimental design. Please make sure your child has brought home the safety contract and you have signed it so they may be allowed to do labs once they have passed the safety test.
Please encourage your child to write in their planner each day! I write on the board the topic we are covering and any assignments/activities/labs that we will be working on that day.
A good way to remember science is to ask about what we have done each day and relate it to every day life. I am always giving examples of how science works in our life. Ask your child what they learned today!
Students are required to obey the Internet Safety and Acceptable Use Guidelines. Please look at the following web page for more information.
