Tarea
1) Bring all supplies to class (except - bring only 1 envelope and about a third of a
package of 3 x 5 index cards instead of all of them).
2) Have notebook completely organized with all dividers labelled and in order with appropriate pages behind each divider.
3) If you have not already done so, bring back student info sheet with proper signatures.
4) Bring your tissue box decorated with your assigned country- flag on one long side, map with capital city and several other important cities labelled on other long side of box.  On the other two ends, put small pictures or write a few words which will trigger what you want tell us about that country - interesting facts that you found out about the country.  
Note:  This is not a major project.  You shouldn't need to spend a lot of time either decorating the box or doing the oral presentation.

Tore out, punched holes in, and wrote name on the following pages in workbooks:
        Guided Practice - pp. 1 - 76.
        Practice Workbook - pp. 1 - 48
        WAVA - pp. 1 - 44
(These are the pages we will be using first semester). We listened to some Spanish music while doing all of this - Marc Anthony and Enrique Iglesias (Refer to pp. 3 and 11 in your Spanish book.)
After punching holes, etc. we put the pages in the Spanish notebook and then took the notebook quiz.
The purpose of the notebook quiz was to help students get organized so that we can work efficiently in the classroom with little or no wasted time searching for papers.
Tarea
Take the workbooks home and keep until second semester.
Do worksheet on countries.
Quiz (matching) on location of Spanish-speaking countries and the capitals.

Sept. 8/9

Did quick review of locations of countries and capitals and then took quiz.
