About me:
Welcome to another great year at Carter Junior High! I have the pleasure of starting my fourth year at Carter and look forward to a fantastic school year.
I began my career in education after completing my undergraduate degree from Baylor University. I earned my Bachelor's of Science from the School of Education in '99 and began a third grade teaching assignment at Roark Elementary. After taking a year off to pursue another career, I found myself missing students, school and the education community. I returned to teaching with an ESL 7th & 8th grade assignment at Shackelford Junior High. I won Teacher of the Year at Shackelford; thereafter, I decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in Aug. of '08 and began as an assistant principal here at Carter.
