Our fifth grade math book has short chapters covering small chunks of material at a time. We are discussing place value, estimating, adding, subtracting, fractions and decimals, algebra, statistics, multiplication, division, geometry, measurement, probability, and lots of other topics!
Our STAAR test is March 27, earlier in the year than our TAKS tests were given. We have much ground to cover before that day. I appreciate your help this year with homework and extending topics we are covering. Please let me know if you have questions for me about your child's math instruction.
