Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! Supplies will need to brought every day to class.
A folder is required to keep notes, daily assignments and homework assignments. An agenda is very important and will be used in all classes.
Please check your student handbook for information about the dress code. It will be enforced the first day of school.
Grading Policy:
Students' grades are averaged by percentages. The assignments for reading will count as follows:
50% Daily Work/Homework
20% Participation Grades: Agenda Checks, Warm Ups, Group Work
30% Tests/Projects
There is a semester final at the end of each semester.

Important Dates:
Cell Phones:
The district prohibits the use of cell phones during school hours. If your child has a cell phone, he or she must keep it in her locker (even during lunch). If the student is caught with his or her cell phone in the school, it will be confiscated, and only the parent can retrieve the phone from the office and a $15.00 return fee/fine must be paid. (Texas Education Code section 37.082) If there is an emergency and you must contact your child, please contact the school office.
