Welcome!  I hope you will stay in contact as we seek to prepare for a future using math!

Email is the best way to reach me, as I am in class most of the day.  Please also include the best # to reach you that is not long distance from the school.

A math policy letter and syllabus should be sent home the first week of school. The last page needs to be returned ASAP for my files including your contact information and information about your student. Please keep the rest of the letter and syllabus for your records. Included are grade, classroom, homework, and other policies that are important to know. Please request another copy if you cannot locate yours at any point during the year.

I hope that this site will provide some helpful details as well as a chance to learn a little bit about me.  Thank you for visiting!

        Sincerely,
   Mrs. Howser

Stuck on homework from the book? Need a refresher on the topic? Look next to the homework problems in your textbook for a "webcode" to use for that specific topic. Codes use three letters and four numbers which represent that book and that section. For example, "are- 0101" represents examples for "Chapter 1, Section 1." Again, the codes are in the book so if you don't know one, use the Course 2 Student Home Page above.

I have a wonderful husband, Michael.  We were married in June '06. We have one pet- our cat Frankie. My interests (beside teaching) include playing the piano and cello, spending time with family and friends, camping, making crafts and jewelry, reading, learning new things, and finding awesome math songs to inflict upon my students.

I am always fascinated by how many ways we use math each day.  It is the language which describes the world around us, yet allows us to create new developments each moment.  I hope you can gain a new appreciation for this awesome subject!  Never believe it when someone (including yourself) tells you that you cannot do math!
